Verify Your Account

Overview

Before you can apply for campaigns, your account must be verified. Verification helps businesses know that your profile is authentic and ready for collaborations.

Before you start

Make sure you have:

  • A public Instagram Creator or Business account and/or a TikTok account
  • Completed your creator profile
  • Optional: added your content highlights

Note: All highlighted fields in your profile are required before you can submit your verification request.

How to verify your account

  • Open the Profile tab.
  • Complete all required profile fields.
  • Connect your Instagram and/or TikTok account.
  • Review your information.
  • Click Save
  • Tap Apply for Verification.

Your verification request will be reviewed by the Secret Sauce team.

After verification

Once approved, you can:

  • Apply for campaigns
  • Manage bookings
  • Submit campaign deliverables

Common issues

I can't submit my verification

Make sure:

  • All required profile fields are completed.
  • At least one supported social account is connected.

If your verification is rejected

If your verification is rejected, you can apply again 30 days after the rejection date.Once the 30-day period has passed, the option to apply again will automatically become available in the Secret Sauce app.If your new application is rejected, a new 30-day waiting period will start from the latest rejection date.

Account Setup

Connect Instagram

Overview

Secret Sauce has been reviewed and approved for API usage by Meta. Connecting Instagram allows Secret Sauce to retrieve your profile information, campaign content, and engagement insights.

Secret Sauce does not post on your behalf or have any access to your log in information or personal details. 

Requirements

Your Instagram account must be:

  • Public
  • Creator or Business account

How to connect Instagram

  • Open Profile.
  • Tap Connect Instagram.
  • Log into Instagram.
  • Grant all requested permissions.
  • Wait until the connection is complete.

Switch to another Instagram account

If Instagram automatically logs into the wrong account:

  • Close the Secret Sauce app completely.
  • Open the app again.
  • Tap Continue with Instagram.
  • On the Instagram permissions screen, tap the three dots in the top-right corner.
  • Select Switch accounts.
  • Log in using the correct Instagram account (username and password).

Troubleshooting

My account won't connect

Check that:

  • Your account is Public.
  • You're using a Creator or Business account.
  • You granted all requested permissions.

If the issue continues, contact Support.

Account Setup

Connect TikTok

Overview

Secret Sauce has been reviewed and approved by TikTok. Connecting TikTok allows Secret Sauce to verify your account and retrieve campaign content and engagement metrics.

Secret Sauce does not post on your behalf or have any access to your log in information or personal details. 

How to connect TikTok

  • Open Profile.
  • Tap Connect TikTok.
  • Log into TikTok.
  • Grant all requested permissions.
  • Wait until the connection completes.

Troubleshooting

TikTok won't connect

Try the following:

  • Close the Secret Sauce app completely.
  • Open the app again.
  • Connect using the correct TikTok account.
  • Complete the authorization process.

If the issue continues, contact Support.

If you select “Use TikTok app” when logging in to Secret Sauce and TikTok doesn’t open:

  • Open Safari and go to TikTok.com.
  • Tap “Open in TikTok.”
  • If TikTok doesn't open, make sure TikTok and iOS are updated, restart your iPhone, and try again.
  • You can also log in using your phone number, email, or username instead of selecting “Use TikTok app.”

If TikTok opens normally from Safari but still doesn’t open from Secret Sauce, please contact our Support team.

Campaigns

Apply for a Campaign

Overview

Verified creators can browse and apply for restaurant and hotel campaigns.

How to apply

  • Open the Explore tab.
  • Browse available campaigns under For you, if there are no campaigns
  • Select See All.
  • Browse available campaigns.
  • Open the campaign you'd like to join.
  • Check the requirements
  • Select an available timeslot.
  • Tap Apply for Campaign.

The business will review your application.

Application statuses

Pending

Your application is waiting for the business to review it.

Confirmed

Congratulations! Your booking has been confirmed.

Declined

The business decided not to proceed with your application. Don't worry, new campaigns are added regularly, so keep exploring and apply for other opportunities that match your profile.
Why can't I apply?

You may not be able to apply if:

  • Your account hasn't been verified yet.
  • The campaign has already reached its maximum number of applications.
  • Your application for this campaign is already pending or has been accepted.
  • The campaign is no longer accepting applications.

If you can’t find a campaign you’re looking for, check the See All tab or browse other available campaigns. New opportunities are added regularly.

Campaigns

Submit Deliverables

Overview

After completing your visit, submit the content required by the campaign.

Publishing timeline

  • Stories should be posted as close to your visit as possible.
  • Other deliverables should be published within 3-5 days, unless another timeline was agreed with the business.

How to submit

  • Publish the required content.
  • Open My Campaigns.
  • Select your campaign.
  • Submit your content.

The business will review your submission.

After submission

The business will review your deliverables and mark complete..

Troubleshooting

Can’t see your content?

If your latest Instagram or TikTok content isn’t available when submitting your deliverables:

  • Make sure the content was published on the social media account connected to Secret Sauce.
  • Go to Profile → Edit Profile and check your connected account.
  • If the account is marked Expired, tap Renew and complete the authorization process.
  • Make sure you allow all requested permissions.
  • Return to your campaign and try submitting your content again.

If your connection is active but your latest content is still missing, use Refresh Content from your profile.

Important: When renewing, make sure you reconnect the same social media account linked to your Secret Sauce profile.

Campaigns

Cancel a Booking

Overview

If you’re unable to attend your booking, you can cancel it from the app.

How to cancel

  • Open My Campaigns.
  • Select the campaign.
  • Tap Cancel Booking.
  • Confirm the cancellation.

What happens after cancelling?

  • The restaurant will be notified if you were accepted.
  • Your booking will be cancelled.
  • The campaign slot may become available to another creator.
  • Your conversation with the business will automatically close.

Only cancel when absolutely necessary.

Profile

Manage Your Profile

Overview

Your creator profile helps businesses decide whether to collaborate with you.

Keep it complete and up to date.

What you can update

You can update your profile at any time, including:

  • Profile photo
  • Bio
  • Favourite cuisines
  • Connected social media accounts (if you are not verified)
  • Content highlights

Keeping your profile updated helps businesses discover your content and increases your chances of being selected for campaigns.

Tips

A complete profile is more attractive to businesses and improves your chances of being accepted.

Refresh Your Content

Overview

The Refresh Content feature updates the content imported from your connected Instagram and TikTok accounts.

Use it whenever:

  • Your latest social media posts aren't showing in Secret Sauce.
  • You want to update your Content Highlights in your profile.
  • You need to submit newly published content for a campaign, but it hasn't appeared in the app yet.

How to refresh your content

You can refresh your content from two places:

To update your Content Highlights:

  • Open the Profile tab.
  • Tap Edit Profile.
  • Tap Refresh Content.
  • Wait until the refresh is complete.

To submit content for a campaign:

  • Open My Campaigns.
  • Select the campaign you've visited.
  • Tap Refresh Content above the Submit Content button.
  • Wait until the refresh is complete, then submit your content.

Important

Do not close the app while the refresh is in progress.

Refresh limits

To ensure reliable performance, Refresh Content has the following limits:

  • You can refresh your content up to 5 times within a 24-hour period.
  • The Refresh Content button will be disabled for 15 minutes. Once it's available again, you can refresh your content.

If you’ve reached one of these limits, please wait before trying again.

My latest content still isn't showing

If your new content hasn’t appeared after refreshing:

  • Make sure the content was published on your connected Instagram or TikTok account.
  • Verify that you're connected to the correct social media account.
  • Make sure you granted all requested permissions to Secret Sauce when connecting your account.
  • Wait a few minutes and try refreshing again (if you're within the refresh limits).

If the issue continues, please contact Secret Sauce Support.

Profile

Renew an expired social media connection

Overview

Your Instagram or TikTok connection may expire or become invalid over time. When this happens, Secret Sauce may no longer be able to sync your latest content, Insights, or analytics.

How do I know my connection has expired?

If your connection needs to be renewed, you’ll see an Expired status next to the affected social media account in your profile.You may also see a message when selecting content for a campaign telling you that one of your connected accounts has an invalid token.

How to renew your connection

  • Open Profile in the Secret Sauce app.
  • Go to Edit Profile.
  • Find the social media account marked Expired.
  • Tap Renew.
  • Follow the Instagram or TikTok login and authorization steps.
  • Make sure you allow all requested permissions.

Once successfully renewed, Secret Sauce can continue syncing your content, Insights, and analytics.

ImportantRenewing your connection does not create a new Secret Sauce account or remove your existing campaign history. Make sure you reconnect the same social media account already linked to your Secret Sauce profile.

Troubleshooting

I can't log in
  • Check your internet connection.
  • Restart the app.
  • Try logging in again.
  • Use a Public Creator or Business account.
  • Grant all requested permissions.
  • Try again after closing and reopening the app.
  • Complete the authorization process.
  • Use the correct TikTok account.
  • Restart the app and try again.

If the TikTok app doesn't open:

  • Open Safari and go to TikTok.com.
  • Tap “Open in TikTok.”
  • If TikTok doesn't open, make sure TikTok and iOS are updated, restart your iPhone, and try again.
  • You can also log in using your phone number, email, or username instead of selecting “Use TikTok app.”

If TikTok opens from Safari but still doesn’t open from Secret Sauce, contact Support.

Check that:

  • You're viewing the See All tab.
  • Your profile location is correct.

At the moment, campaigns are available only in Bangkok.

Make sure:

  • Your account is verified.
  • The campaign has available timeslots.
  • You meet the campaign requirements.

Refresh your content from your profile.

If your content still doesn’t appear:

  • Make sure the content was published on your connected Instagram or TikTok account.
  • Make sure you're connected to the correct social media account.
  • Try refreshing your content again after 15 minutes.
  • If the issue persists, contact Secret Sauce Support.

Follow the steps in Connect Instagram → Switch to another Instagram account.
